Beethoven's opus 132 string quartet is from his collection of "late" quartets, written in the final years of his life. In these works, Beethoven turned inward, leaving us with some of his most exquisite and transcendental music. The Chamber Music Society of San Francisco opens its 10th anniversary season with a return to op. 132, the masterpiece that brought these fine musicians together a decade ago.
