Beethoven: String Quartet in F Major, op. 135
Beethoven was an avant garde composer in the most classic sense - he pushed boundaries, upset people, and wrote some of the most sublime music we have today. We will pair his Op. 135 string quartet with music of Alfred Schnittke and Caroline Shaw to explore the dramatic differences between the sound worlds of yesterday and today.
